Attending an event in a foreign country is always an Experience - good or bad.
The difference between good and bad lies primarily in the logistical planning of the entire visit - itinerary planning; travel arrangements; transport arrangements in the country of destination; accommodation; activities, tours and destinations additional to the actual event you are attending (including trips to neighbouring countries).
The 2010 FIFA World Cup™ in South Africa is no different - EXCEPT for the fact that the sheer magnitude of the event will severely test the capabilities of facilitators not used to operating in the top league as a matter of course. And trying to put it all together yourself is definitely not an option if you REALLY want to get the most from your visit.
